IISOM OOK OWS COEBESPOSDESTS.} Hamilton, Monday The final cricket match of the uaL, between club 3 affiliated with the Waina Association, was played on Sydney Square on Saturday, between the Taupiri and ft Awamutu clubs. A good deal of interat was centred in this match, as Whichever team won would be the champion for th. 1896-97 season. The Friendly Societies, together with the Thames Miners' Union (Coromandel branch) has taken steps to hold a °reat demonitr»« tion on the 23rd and 24th May, for the purpose of raising funds for a new hospital building. u The new schoolroom for the use of thi pupils attending the Convent School is jun upon completion.
