MR. GEO. RIGNOLD.

Though the " Lights o' London,'' played by Mr. Geo, Rignold and his company, had been running the best part of a week the attendance ab the Opera Houso on Saturday evening was a very large one, the production being in every sense of the term highly successful. To-night one of the most rocenb and pronounced of London successes, "Tommy Atkins," will be staged, with Mr. Rignold as Harold Wilson. The piece is one full of life, colour, and movement, and wherever played lias always proved a "draw." That it will be staged lavishly and completely goes without saying, and is certain to turn out a great attraction. The play throughout is full of militarism and affords excellent opportunity for some very fine stage pictures, Somo of these require elaborate setting and are from the brushes of such well-known artists as Messrs. Brunton, Hennings, and Clint. In order to present "Tommy Atkins" in an efficient manner the services of a full military band are required, and accordingly the Auckland Garrison Band has been engaged to assist in the performance. The management desire to draw attention to an announcement in the advertising columns referring, to a slight reduction in prices and to the opening of an early door for the convenience of patrons to the pit. : - < '■"■ .""
