Lieutenant Eloff, an officer of the Transvaal military, has been suspended for using slanderous and insulting language against Queen Victoria. Mr. Greene, the British resident in Pretoria, demanded Eloft's djsniisal, and President Kruger replied expressing his regret at the officer's conduct.
