CORRESPONDENCE CONDENSED.
We have had for some time in hand a letter from Mrs. Yates in answer to the one by Mr. R. Richardson. Mia. Yates says that Mr. Richardson is not a ratepayer or a property owner. The cottages he refers to were increased in value li\3t year. The town clerk ought to be polite to all ratepayers. Mr. A. L. Peeler, of Raglan, writes with respect to the Te Mata Co-operative road works. He says that his letter was mis' quoted. What he wrote was, "The men employed are said to be earning less than 4s per day." The letter of " One Who Knows" has created a feeling of indignation among the men employed, and also tno settlere and business people. Mr. Pegler enters into particulars respecting the work of the road parties.
