The Union Company 8 steamer Waihora left for East Coast and Southern Ports yesterday afternoon. On arrival at Port Glialmere it is probable that the steamer will be docked for general overhaul, the Manupouri taking up her trip from this port to Sydney on April 10. Last evening the Union Company's steamer Richmond left for Fiji, with a miscellaneous cargo. This morning the steamer culls in at Russell for coal. The three-masted schooner Ysahel sailed for the Friendly Group and Niue, last evening. Last evening the Northern Cu.'s steamer Waiotahi left for Tauriuiga and Onotiki. The Kauri Timber Co.'s brig Vision was towed out of port last evening by the tugboat Admiral, and sailed for the Kaipara, where she loads timber for an Australian port. At 9.30 a.in yesterday the Uuion Co.'s steamer Dingadee, from Wellington and the East Coast, passed Porl Awanui, and should arrive early this afternoon. Yesterday afternoon the American barque Portland Lloyds was berthed at the Quaystreet jetty, and will commence discharging her cargo from New sfork this morning. This evening the Union Company's steamer Pukaki leaves for Westport. The scow RiiU has been sold through Messrs. Russell and Somers to Wellington parties, and will sail for that port to-day. To-day the barque Lintrathen will berth at the Quay-street Jetty to load for Loudon.

The Melanesian Mission yacht Southern Cross was berthed at the Queen-street Wharf yesterday to take in stores, etc. She leaves for Norfolk Island and Melanesia this afternoon. The steamer liahu leaves Lyttelton for the Chatham Islands to-morrow night. The steam launch Suark, now employed by the Union Company as a tender at fcrisborne, will probably be taken to Wellington for harbour work. THE TUTANMAL The Government steamer Tutanekai arrived at Wellington from Onehunga yesterday. She is due at Onehunga again on Saturday, and will leave for Wellington not later than 10 a.m. on Sunday with the membera of the House of Representatives.

THE FLORA. The Union Company's steamer Flora is due from Southern and East Coast ports tomorrow. She returns South again on Saturday, and will then be withdrawn from the coastal trade, taking up the running of the Riohmond, between this port, Fiji, and Wellington. THE RUAHINK. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Ruahine arrived at Wellington early yesterday morning from London. Passengers for Auckland: Mr. aud Mrs. Brock, Mrs. Wright, Miisses Dobie, Perry (2), Tucker, Messrs. Bruce, Haines (2), Mefter, Still. During her stay at Sierra Leone the weather was very hot, but the health of those on board did not suffer. They were entertained by the Governor and residents of the place. She brings 112 passengers.

THE AORANGI. The s.s. Aormigi, which is to be engaged in tho Canadian mail service, left London for Sydney on the 19th inst. She will call at Teneriffe, Capetown, Albany, Adelaide and Melbourne en route.

THE MATATUA.

The local agents, Messrs. L. D, Nathan and Co., inform us that the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company's steamer Matatua left London on the 20th inst. for Wellington. Cargo for Auckland will be forwarded by one of the first steamers from Wellington.

ACROSS THE ATLANTIC IN FOUR DAYS.

Messrs, Harlaml and Wolff have just laid the keel, at Belfast, of a new vessel for the White Star line, which is intended to make the passage between Liverpool and New York in four days. In honour of the Oceanic, which was the pioneer ship of the White Star fleet, the new steamer will also be called Oceanic. She will be 680 feet long, will have a speed of 27 knots, and will cost nearly £400,000.
