IRISH AMENDMENTS. Press Association. —Electric Tolegtapli. —Copjttßhl. London, January 21. In the House of Commons the debate on the Address-in-Eeply to the Queen's Speecii continues. Air. O'Brien, Parnelljte member for .Kilkenny city, brought up the question of the liberation of the Irish dynamiters who are now undergoing various sentences of imprisonment, and proposed an amendment iu favour of an amnesty being granted in their favour. Sir W. M. Ridley, the Home Secretary, opposed the amendment, and in the course of his speech declared that tho Government would make no exception in the treatment of Irish prisoners. The amendment was negatived by a large majority. Mr. Dillon submitted an amendment to the address that the fall in the price of produce required further reduction oi rents in Ireland. The debate wae adjourned. London, January 22. Sir J. Lubbock, member for the London University, and Mr. Mac Lean, member for Cardiff, moved amendments that it was needless to re-appoint a Transvaal Raid Committee, as the oflbnders had already been punished.

Mr. Dillon's amendment was rejected by a majority of 6-1- votes.
