THE AOTEA. Wellington, April 18 —The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company's steamer Aot'ea, Captain Scotland, sailed to-day for London direct, with a full cargo, and the following passengers. Saloon! Mesdames Moore and Hart, Messrs. Millar and Hart. Third class: Miss Whitaker, Mesdames Holtham, Wallace, Scott and child, Messrs. Davis, Fairbank, Chandler, Bankier, Wallace, and Scott. Her cargo from Wellington is as follows: 1095 bales wool and skins, 13 bundles rabbitskins, 13baleslcatheiyll bales basils, 507 bales flax, 780 sacks peas, 614 carcases lambs, 2260 cases cheese, 152 boxes butter, £81 casks tallow and pelts, 100 casks and 6 kegs entrails, 64 casks edible tallow, 4 casks marrows, 50 casks olive oil, 3 cases honey, 700 sacks blood manure, 1502 cases meats, and 28 packages sundries.
A ROUGH EXPERIENCE.
Wellington, April 21. —Arrived: Lena, barque, from Liverpool, 116 days nut. She had very rough weather since sighting Tasmania, 30 days being occupied reaching New Zealand. On Friday and Saturday last sho met a severe easterly gale off Banks Peninsula, and took a lot of water on board. One of the after boats was smashed, and the captain was dashed against the bulwarks, nearly breaking his leg. The Lena was here ten years ago under the name of the Cape Brett. She has since been purchased py a German firm and renamed.
