GRAND LODGE OF NEW ZEALAND.
The sixth annual communication of the Grand Lodge of Ancient, Free, and
Accepted Masons of New Zealand was commenced in the Choral Hall, Dunedin, on April 30. There was a largo attendance of
brethren from all parts of the colony, M.W. Brother Malcolm Niccol (Auckland), Grand Master, presiding.
The balance-sheet for 15 months was
adopted. It showed that the assets exceeded the liabilities by £1318 18a 10d. A sum of £307 15s 6d is on deposit. The credit in respect to the benevolence fund was £964 9s 7d, There is £273 7s lOd on deposit to the credit of the widows and orphans fund.
P.M. Brother Wm. Barron, R.W.P.P.G., Warden S.C., was unanimously elected Grand Master for the ensuing term. Bro.
Boor was invested as Deputy-Grand Master, and Brothers William Francis and Dr. Walker as Senior and Junior Wardens
respectively. The other officers were invested by proclamation as follows :— Grand Superintendents, Brothers Niccol, Auckland; H. J. Williams, Wellington ; J. J. M. Hamilton, Canterbury ; R.
