SHE NEW ZEALAND RUGBY UNION. [Br IUMtQKAPH.—PKKSH ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Thursday. At a meeting of the Management Committee ef the New Zealand Rugby Union to-night it was decided not to fix the date for the North v. South Island nutch until the tours of the Queensland and other travelling teams were arranged. The secretary of the florowhenua Union wrote stating that it had been decided not to join the Union this season as only two clubs in the district were willing to join. The members of the committee expressed the opinion that it was not advisable to foster the formation of : small unions. It was resolved to disqualify a Nelson • representative player for non-payment of £2 due to the New-Zea-land liJnion, and also' to remove the disqualification placed upon a player for being a defaulter to the Marlborough Union, as he had paid the' amount due'to that union. In regard to the disqualification of a, player by the Wellington Union a communication was received from the Otugo Union to the effect that the disqualification could not be endorsed as thiit union had no provision in their bylaws for disqualifying a player who was a defaulter to the club it was therefore decided to write to the Wellington Union anil suggest that they should place themselves in communication with the Otago Union with a View of having reciprocity in these matters.
