[»V tBMtaRAPH.—PBKHS AffIOOtAIION.] Wellington, Thursday. Nelson Moate's tea business has been floated into a company, the whole of the shares being subscribed in one day. The headquarters of the company will bo removed from Ohriafcchuroh to Wellington. The new company has bought out the business of the Union Tea lacking Company. The name of the firm will not bo changed. The following counties show an increase of population : -Hob'son, 3783 (491); Otamatea, 2470 (416); Coromandel, 5053 (2207). OHftiSTOHOKOii, Thursday. The Hon., MoKeiraa addressed a large meeting at Kaiapoi last night and received a vote of thanks and confidence in the Government. . At the Police Court this morning, John Houghton, on remand, was charged with breaking into the warehouse of the New Zealand Farmers' Co-operative Association, and stealing therefrom goods to the value of £51, ana 7e 3d in money. After a lengthy hearing accused was committed for trial.' •
