GENERAL MINING ITEMS.

Interest, however, was not allowed to die out altogether, and now with a view to giving the movement a fresh start, the local body here has donated £100 towards the schools, one-third of this amount to be given to each school, provided the institutions are started.— Correspondent.] Yesterday Mr. Moss offered for Bale by auction, the goodwill, etc, of the Free Exchange. The sum of £225 was bid by Mr, Marshall, at which figure the vendors withdrew the lot.
