Ihe Union Company's steamer Flora, Captain J. Bernech, arrived from Southern and East Coast ports at 4 p.m. yesterday. Mr. George Crawley, the purser, reports that the steamer left Duuedin on the Ist instaut, and called at Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier, and GUborne, leaving the latter port at 9.30 a.m. on the 6th, and arriving as above. Experienced fine weather and smooth seas to the East Cape; thence, strong headwinds and heavy sea to Uape Colville, followed by fine weather to arrival. The Flora leaves for East Coast ana Southern Ports this afternoon. Yesterday afternoon, the Union Company's steamer Upolu left for Wellington. The Northern Company's steamer lona left for Kuaotunu, Mercury Bay, and Tairua last night. Yesterday afternoon the Northern Company's steamer Chelmsford left for Whangamate and Whakatatie. Last evening the Northern Company's steamer Douglas left for VVhan;;arei. The schooner Aotea sailed for the East Coast and Uisborne last night with the following cargo:—2o,ooo feet timber, 336 bags sugar, 00 cases schnapps, 60 boxes candles, 60 packages groceries, 1500 bricks, 169 pieces hardwood, 20 tons coal, 10 bales tow, 20 tons flour, 108 packages hardware, 60 bundles staves, 100 boxes soap, 4 cases, 10 packages, and 3 parcels drapery, 72 sacks chaff, 46 bags lime, 46 sacks pumice, 15 packages furniture, and sundries. , This morning the three-masted schooner Ysabel will sail Tor the Islands. The Northern Company's steamer Clansman arrives from the North early this morning, and leaves for Tauranga in the evening. H.iJ.s. Ringdove arrived at Russell yesterday morning. The Union Company's steamer Ovalau took in a supply of coal at Russell yesterday, and left in the evening for Tonga. At seven o'clock tomorrow night the Union Company's steamer Takapuna is expected to arrive at Onehunga from the South and New Plymouth. Three small steamers, the largest of which is 32 tons, have sailed from Manchester tor Perth.

The schooner Clansman is expected to sail from Mercury Bay for Noumea, to-morrow, with a cargo of timber. On discharge she proceeds to Surprise Island, 10 load guano tor ft New Zealand port. "The Northern Company's steamer Wei noßton arrived from Whungarei last niiht, Via leaves for the same place again to-night.

THE WAIHORA. The Union Company's steamer Waihora has been delayed at Lyttelton, und will not reach this port until Tuesday. Her departure for Sydney, has, therefore, been postponed until Wednesday, at noon.

A NEW TUG BOAT FUR SYDNEY. A new tug boat named the Goole No. 9 is ou her way out to Sidney from South Shields. The Goole No. 9 has been purchased by a Sydney firm, and is a very fine stamp of vessel, bavins? been built expressly for the Goole and Hull Steam Towing Company. She was launched in 189*2 from the yards of Messrs. J. IV Reiinnldson and Sons, the builders of the Champion and Hero, and has a splendid record of service at home. The Goole No. 9 is an iron vessel of 140 tons, gross, and 75 horse-power. Her principal dimensions are:—Length, 100 feet 4 inches ; breadth, 19 feet 9 inches, and depth 11 fee- 5 inches. She is fitted with K'}"% expansion engines, having cylinders 13J, 22, and 30 inches in diameter, and a stroke of 24 inches. Her boiler has a workiug pressure of 1651b.

She leaves again this morning (weather permitting) for Wanganui and Opunaki, Yesterday afternoon the Union Company's steamer Mahinapua left for New Plymouth and Wellington.
