On being interviewed by the Mayor ho said it was none of his business to make ib publio. The consequence was, that the first intimation His Worship the Mayor received of tho visit of tho warship was when the captain called on him at his prirato residence as an old friend. The intention of Captain Bremor was to have brought tho Ringdove up to tho wharves if he had been received, and there had been anyone to pilot him.
