THE GOLD RETURNS.
(BY TKLKOBAPII,—ERKBS ASSOCIATION,] Wellington, Friday. The gold returns tor the colony for the year 1895 showed 293,491 ounces of the value of £1,162,164, as compared with 221,615 ounces of the value of £887,839 for tho year 1894. The quantity yielded by the Auckland goldrlfllds during the year had more than doubled, while the West Coast of Otftgo also showed small Increases.
