London, January 22. At the Lamington banquet, Mr. Chamberlain's reference to the German Emperor evoked the National Anthem and "Rule Britannia." He twice quoted Tennyson's ode, "Long live the Flag, the Fleet, and tho Throne," which was received with cheers.
