Tim directors of the Westport Coal Company, in their report for the year ending Hist December, state that the profits for tho year, after providing for bad and doubtful debts, depreciation, etc., amounts to £14,109 lls7d, to which has to be added £0,702 7s 2d brought forward, ranking a total of £20,811 18s 9d. An interim dividend of 2J per cent, was paid for the half year ending Juno, absorbing £5196 9s, mid the directors now recommend the payment of 3J per cent, for the past half year, making a dividend of 0 per cent, for the year, absorbing £7275 0s 6d; to appropriate for expenditure on Granity Creeks Works, £3000, and to carry forward £5340 9s 3d.
