THE WHARAREWAREWA HOT SPRINGS.
AWARD OP THE NATIVE LAND COURT.
[By TELEGRAPH.— OWN COKIIBBFONDENT.] Rotoiiua, Tuesday. Jodqe Wilson gave his award in regard to the Whakarewsrewa Black, No. 3, this morning. The natives have been granted 58 acres in the centre of the blook from the Puarenga River to the. southern boundary, This portion contains tho Oil bath, the. cooking pools, and the native buryingground. The bridge also crosses the creek into the natives' section, bub the Crown have right of way into their portions on the oast and west. On tho eastern tide are the Spout Bath or Turikoro, and various hot pools. The western section, also awarded to the Crown, contains all the principal geysers and other sights. The Crown's portion contains 157 aeros. The early abolition of tho tolls loviod upon tourists may now be looked for, although ib is not supposed that any alteration will take place this season. The award has given satisfaction here, as tho prosonoe of the natives forms an attraction to the tourists,
