THE WAIRARAPA LAKE DIFFICULTY.
[by telegraph— association.') Wellington, Sunday. A pionio inaugurated by the natives to celebrate tho settlement of the Walmrapa Luke difficulty was held at Pigeon Bush yesterday. There was a large attendance of both settlors and natives, the Promlor, the Hon. Mr. Carroll, Messrs. Buchanan and Hogg, M.H.R.'s, were among those present. Several speeches were delivered, all the spoakers referring with great satisfaction to the settlement by the Government of a matter which had been attempted by successive Governments. All the visitors were most hospitably entertained.
