PRIMITIVE METHODIST CONFERENCE.
[ST APH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Timarc, Saturday. The Primitive Methodist Conforonce concluded its sittings this morning. The Conference renewed its testimony in favour of local option and the direct veto, against gambling, and for the repeal of t(ie O.D. Acts. The Conference diroctod that tem peranoe sermons be preached in the churches on tho 3rd Sunday in November, and requested stations to observe Good Friday as a day of consecration and prayer. The usual votes of thanks were pasaod. Tho Rev. W. P. Hartley, of Aintreo, Liverpool, was appointed representative at the English Conference, and the Rev. T. Cowan as vice representative. The Rev. J. Olphert was nominated general committee delegate to the next New Zealand Conference, which will bo held at Foilding in January next.
