THE MERRIVALE ESTATE.
[by TELEGRAPH.—PRESS association.] Invercargiix, Thursday. The Morrivale Estate, recently acquired by tho Government from Ellis Bros., has been cut up into forty-soven allotments, which wrro balloted far to-day. Altogether, bheroworo one hundred and sevonty-four applicants, but twelve sections wero not applied for. For cno section there were ,'W applicants, and for two others 27 each. Immediately after the ballot several applications werereceived for sections undisposed of, and it is believed tho wholo will bo shortly taken up.
