Wool: The sales closed firmly this day. 1 Sincecloseoflastsalesgreasymerinosuper.and [ medium and inferior, fine greasy, fine scoured, and coarse greasy crossbred, .also greasy merino lambs, medium and inferior and ' greasy crossbred lambs are par to Jd per ib lower; scoured merino, super and medium, ', and inferior and medium greasy crossbred ' are id per lb lower; other descriptions unchanged. The total quantity sold during the past sales is 270,000 bales, of which 130,000 bales have been taken for the Conti- ' nent, and 20,000 bales for America. It is J estimated that 70,000 bales have been held ■' over for further disposal.
