New York, May 25. At a great convention in Memphis 800 southern delegates approved of President Cleveland's currency policy as opposed to the free coinage of silver.
Washington, May 2G.
The American Silver Convention has not approved of unlimited coinage in the ratio of 16 to 1, when the commercial ratio is 30 to 1, and has declared its readiness to co-operate with the Powers, as alone it is impossible to maintain bi-metallism.
