Press Association.—Electric Telegraph.— Copyright.
London, May 24. Me. Hotson, after visiting Paris and Marseilles, thinks it i would be useless to attempt to open Continental markets, and advocates instead extending the trade in the provinces by direct shipments to Manchester and Glasgow as London is congested. Despite the idea to $he contrary prevailing in the colonies the system of retail distribution in London, is absolutely perfect. Mr. Hotson finds the low prices for meat are opening new channels among the better sections of the working classes, who are now buying freely. He considers the "Victorian Agent'sGeneral office unsuited for commercial purposes.
London. May 26. The Gothic's chilled meat has arrived in good condition at Rio do Janeiro.
