THE HIMALAYA-ICE SIGHTED.
Wellington, February 20.Arrived : Himalaya, barque, from Liverpool (November sth). She passed a very large quantity of ice, no less than 84 bergs being sighted within a distance of some 2000 miles. THE A. B. CARSWELL. Port Chalmers, March —The barque A. B. Cars\v<dl was reported off the Nuggets yesterday with both her fore and main sails blown away. She is on the vogage from Java to Conception Bay, Chili. THE BANFFSHIRE. Port Chalmers, March 11.—Sailed: Banffshire, Captain Coull, for London. The passengers were—Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Stewart, Messrs. A. McKay, M. Herepath, and Dr. J. F. Sheridan. The Banffshire's cargo includes 2907 bales of wool, 9 casks of wine, 390 casks of tallow, 10,490 sacks ol oats, 1000 cases of meats, 4 cases of sundries,,63,274 carcases of mutton, 812 boxes of butter, 389 cases of kidneys, 3925 legs of mutton, 9304 quarters of beef, 165 haunches of mutton, 18 cases of poultry, and 252 live sheep.
