THE GISBORNE BREAKWATER.
[it TELEGRAPH. PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Gisborne, Thursday. Tuk Gisborne breakwater is in a serious condition, and there are grave fears that unless a wave-breaker apron Is speedily thrown out on the seaward Bide of the pier blocks will fall into the channel and completely block the navigation of the port bo even the smallest of vessels. The Board's funds being tied up it can do nothing to preserve the pier.
