FATAL GUN ACCIDENT.
A YOUNG MAN ACCIDENTALLY SHOOTS HIMSELF.
[BY telegraph.— PßESS association.] Opunake, Monday. George McNeil, aged 19, son of the lighthouse keeper at Cape Egmont, was found dead on Saturday night, with a gunshot wound in his head. From the position of the body and the gun, ib appeared deceased had been going through the bush, when he got entangled in a supplejack, and, to save a fall, propped the gun in front, receiving the charge full in the forehead.
