THE YACHT WAITANGI.
HEAVY WEATHER.
The new yacht Waitangi, built by Mr. R. Logan, of the North Shore, for Wellington parties, and which sailed for Wellington from this port on Wednesday afternoon laßt, in charge of Captain Butt, was spoken by the Union Company's steamer Dfngadee at ten o'clock on Sunday morning last, The yacht reported having experienced very bad weather in the Bay of Plenty, during which the compass was lost. Captain Adams, of the Dingadee, supplied them with a compass and some oil, and the yacht proceeded on her way to Wellington with a fair wind. She should put in an appearance at that port to-night or early tomorrow morning.
