THE OTAGO CENTRAL.
[BY telegraph.—press association.] Donedin, Monday. At a meeting of the Obago Central Railway League, the opinion was expressed , that unless the League were better backed up by the labour organisations and the public it might be advisable to dissolve. Information could only be gob through, the members of Parliament, who, with the exception of Mr. Miller and Mr. Earnshaw, failed to accept the League's invitation to the meeting. It was resolved to express regret that the Premier should nob hare seen fit to give the specific information asked for in Mr. Earnshaw's telegram of the 4th September ; to emphatically protest against the League being characterised as a -political organisation; hoping that every effort was being made to expend the available vote; and authorising that a copy be sent to the Premier.
