(BY TELEGRAPH—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Thames, Thursday. The many Auckland friends of Mrs. Lawlor, wise of Mr. H. C. Lawlor, will regret to learn of her demise, which took place at the residence of her husband this morn ing. The deceased, who was mosb deservedly esteemed and respected by a large cirole of acquaintances, has been in most indifferent) health lately, death being accelerated by contracting a severe cold. A heavy thunderstorm, accompanied by vivid flashes of lightning, passed over the town at an early hour this morning, and while it lasted it was one of the most severe that has prevailed here for some time. An exceptionally heavy gale also spiang up during the night, and fears were entertained for the safety of one or two flailing boats which were out, but fortunately they turned up safely this morning.
