UNIFORM ROUTES FOR STEAMERS.
AN AGREEMENT FOR THE SAKE OF SAFETY. Press Association.—Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. London, April 26. Ait. the Australian and Now Zealand lines, except the Shaw, Savill, and Albion "Company, have adopted a uniform homeward route for the sake of safety, via the Horn, between latitudes 50 and 54 E. ; and outwards via the Cape of Good Hope, between latitudes 42 and 46. The object is that the vessels may be enabled to assist each other in the event of being disabled. London, April 27. The reason why the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company refuse to adopt the track selected by the other Australian and New Zealand liners, is that it is too far south.
