THE Y.R.O. GRAND NATIONAL MEETING. • Mklbocrne, April 27. The V.R.C. Committee have reduced the prize-money in connection with the Grand National Meeting. The added money to the Steeplechase has been reduced from lOOOsovs to 750sovs, and the Hurdle Race from lOOOsovs to 375sovs. Nominations for the Grand National Hurdle Race and Great Northern Steeplechase, to be run at the A.R.C. Winter Meeting in June, close to-night. ' A short time since considerable excitement was occasioned at the Liverpool dock: by the landing of upwards of 100 Spanish donkeys. The donkeys were finely-made, powerful-looking animals, and each of the consignment was said to be worth about £70. Most of them were taken to Liverpool to be transhipped for America fa one lof the White Star steamers. " *
