SAMOA AND NEW ZEALAND.
THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION. [by telegraph.—press association.] Wellington, Saturday. The Cabinet decision regarding the proposed annexation of Samoa by New Zealand was cabled to the Imperial Government yesterday, and the Times states it is probable that Sir George Grey, who is keenly alive to the necessity for good Government in Samoa, and who advised King Malietoa ab every stage of his conflict with tho arbitrary representatives of Germany, and has always been a firm believer in the idea that these islands must be ruled from New Zealand, will be asked to take the matter up, of course with the Agent-Goneral's assistance, in Downingstreet.
