LIBEL ACTION.
A VERDICT FOR £250. [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Friday. In the Supreme Court to-day, in the case of F. G. Thompson v. McCarron, Bird, and Co., of Melbourne, publishers and proprietors of the Australasian Insurance and Banking Record, claim £1000 for alleged libel, the jury returned a verdict for the plaintiff for £250 and costs.
