At a meeting of the Wellington branch of the New Zealand Medical Association the case ot a Maori woman who died in childbirth ab Petone last week was considered. Resolutions were carried to tho effect bhab Dr. Lamb was justified in refusing to attend the woman, seeing another medical man was available ; also that in cases of life and death the Association considers no practitioner should refuse to assist another practitioner, whatever terms they may be on. A further resolution was carried calling the attention of the Government to the fact that the money which used to be paid for medical relief for natives is now in a great part withheld, and asking that it be restored to its legitimate purpose.
