PECULIAR MAINTENANCE CASE.

♦ ; [by telegraph.—press association.] Ddnkdin, Thursday. Chas. H. Colville, of Wellington, was charged with failing to support his children, His wife had been divorced, and was: married again. An order of the Supreme Court was put in providing that Colville should pay £22, and if; was contended he was absolved from further liability. Proceedings had been taken at Wellington and dismissed, the Supremo Court order being ordered to b<s filed, and the clerk instructed not to issue any further summonses. Mr. Carew, S.M., however made an order for the payment of 5s per week for each child.
