Forty degrees of frost have been experienced in many parts of Germany. r f The- • weather is colder in London - than for thirty years past. : At Shorncliffe, in Kent, the thermometer was at zero. ■ Many accidents are reported, and all traffic has been seriously impeded. The Thames is frozen at Great Marlow, Windsor, and Tedding ton.
