THE FIRM OF CAMPBELL AND CRUST.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION. J Donedin, Monday. Tub Supreme Court was engaged bo-duy in a casein which Mrs. Campbell, widow of a member of the firm of Messrs. Campbell and Crust, and her daughter prayed thab accounts be taken of the value of the share of her husband in the business, goodwill, and profits since his death. Mr. Justice Williams said if the matter was carried to the bitter end no one would be more sorrowful than the plaintiffs. The best course would be to effect some 'settlement. There was little doubt, looking at the position of Mr. Crust as executor and surviving partner, he had not done the right thing in keeping his deceased partner's money in the business. The plaintiffs were entitled to share the profits which Crust hud received, derivablo from the employment of such money, or to the interest, if the profits were less than the interest. There should be an inquiry as to what share of the profits, which Crusb had received, was attributable to this money left in. Mr. Owen, the partner who had joined cince Campbell's death, would be discharged from liability to account as against Crust.
