According to the report of the Commissioners of Inland Revenue, lately issued, the gross annual value of lands in Great Britain and Ireland was as follows, compared with that of the preceding year 1890-91. 1891-92. £ £ England and Wales .. 41,129,907 Scotland .. .. 6,374,863 .. 6,318,681 Ireland .. .. 9,941,3U8 9,943,858 United Kingdom .. 67,094,820 .. 57,391,846 lb appears that since 1879-80, when the assessment was at its highest point, allowing for remissions in 1891-92, the decline in the gross rental of land in the United Kingdom up to the latter year was £12,442,950.
