[from our own correspondents.] ' Cambridge, Friday. The election of three Councillors for the ' Borough of Cambridge took place yesterday. There were eight candidates, and the voting resulted as follows J as. Webber, 81; J. W. Souter, 58; Robert McVeagh, 50; Robert Kirkwood, 48; Charles Craig, 38; Robert Morse, 10; W. M. McFarlane, 6; William Moisley, 5. The first three named were declared duly elected. Mr. Hudson has informed the Mayor that the new time-table for the train leaving here twenty, minutes later and arriving ten minutes later. The alteration*will be much appreciated. Te Aroha, Friday. The Domain troubles are still occupying a good deal of public attention, and several rather personal letters on the subject have lately appeared in our local paper. The first meeting of the new Domain Board, which consists of the members of the Town Board, will be held to-morrow afternoon, for the purpose of electing a chairman. In view of this a public meeting was held last evening in the Public Hall, which was crowded with settlers, and resolutions to the following effect were carried with great enthusiasm :— " That the new Domain Board be asked not to elect the present chairman of the Town Board as the chairman of the Domain Board ; that the services of the present caretakers be retained by the Board; and that the old system of selling the bath tickets in the Domain be reverted to " It is generally felt that in view of the strong public opinion in favour of retaining the services of McKee and Stanley, the duty of the new Board is perfectly clear." Graham and John Knox, J.P.'s, charged with lunacy. His was a case of religious mania. He said he had frequent conversations with the Almighty, who tried to persuade him to let Him take him up into Heaven, with the object of letting him drop 7000 feet to earth again.
