THE PAKURANGA HUNT CLUB.

On Wednesday the Hunt Club met at Panmure. Amongst those who, in spite of the rain, turned up, I noticed Mrs. Bloomtield, Miss Percival, Miss Griffiths, and Messrs. Selby (2), Gordon, Tonks, Bell (2), Absolom, Patterson, Duncan. The first drag was run from Panmure to Penrose Junction, in which I noticed two ladies and an old gentleman riding a chestnut; having the best of it. The second was started off the South Road, on the left hand side, close to the Junction, and running parallel to the South Road for four fields, where they crossed the road, and bearing to the left dumped the double on the Jubilee Road, close to the Ellerslie Hotel, and on up to the Harp of Erin, where they finished. A stranger was in such a hurry to get to the end of this drag that he finished half-a-field in front of the hounds. Owing to the races to-day, there will be no meet, out on Wednesday next hounds will meet at the kennels, and on Saturday, the 23rd, at the Scotch Church, Papatoitoi, both days at 12 o'clock. Hark For'ard.
