AUCKLAND. Messrs. Howtkr and .Nolan's Weekly Kr.i'OHT. — Horsefeed. grain, seed, etc.: Stocks have been suilicient. A steady demand has prevailed. Horses: An increased number were brought forward, and a brisk demand was manifested for those of a good stamp without any noteworthy alteration in value. On Friday, at the Durham Yards, about the usual number were submitted by auction. Competition was steady throughout the sale. We quote : Heavy draught, from £12 to £25 10s each ; medium draught, £9 10s to £1S; light harness, £0 to £i:UOs ; riding horses, £4 to £9 10s; spring carts, £8 to £14. Wool, hides, skins, tallow, bones : A moderate catalogue was disposed of to keen competition on Tuesday. We quote : Stout ox, 4d to s'd per lb ; medium, 3d to 3. l ,d ; steer, 2d to 'JJci ; cow, lid to '2>d; calf "skins, 3d to 4'd per lb; sheepskins, local, green, 4s Id tof>s lid each ; country, dry, Is 4d to 4s 3d each; wool, tleece, (id to'G'.d per lb; tallow, 16s Gel to 19a Gdperewt; bones, £3 15s to £4 5s per ton, Cattle : With a steady demand for all descriptions, and a moderate supply has resulted in scarcely any alteration in value. At the Newmarket Yards on Tuesday the number yarded was not so large as on the previous week, but there was no advance iu value. At Papakura on Wednesday there was a good muster, although the weather was again unpropitious, and the previous week's quotations at Newmarket were fully sustained. Beef ranged from '20s to '22s per 1001b. Some averages of steers were £10 4a '2d, £!», £8 7s Oil, i'S f>s 3d, £7 9s ild, £7 ss, £7 2s 6il, £(> 17s lid. Cows, £7, £0 Is Sd, £5 17s (id, £'."> 15, £5, £1 15s. Sheep in less numbers than usual at Newmarket on Tuesday. Prices were distinctly in favour of the vendor. Wethers sold at from Is (id to '2s per Sib; wethers averaged from 15s to'2os each ; ewes. 10s to Its Gd ; mixed sexes, 10s to lis ; lambs, 7s (id to 10s (id each. Pigs: But few well bred were yarded, and of small size, realised 3id per lb live weight. A lot of rough pigs in low condition sold at very low values per lb, ranging from '2s to 10s each.

Bocklandaxd Sons' Weekly Rr.i'oKT. —At the Haymarket during the past week meadow hay was from '2s to 2s 9d ; oaten sheaves, 2s 9cl and 3s the cwt; wheat, 2s 8d to 2s 10a: oats, 2s 7<l: maize, 3s Id to .'is 3d the bushel. On Friday horse stock yarded in less number than average, were relatively dull of sale, although late values were obtained for those sold. Strong draught were from £20 to £25; medium draught, £8 to £12; riding and light harness, £7 to £I.'} each. On Tuesday, hides and skins in usual supply kept their late values. Ox hides ranged from 3d to 21d ; cow hides, 2',d to l.]d ; calfskins, li.Jd to lid the lb ; tallowJCs fid to 19s; bones, -Is the cwt; rough fat, IJd the lb; fresh sheepskins, .'ls 9d to 5s Gil; dry skins, 2s to 4s each; rough wool, 4'd to Gd the lb. At Pnkckohe on Monday a full muster of stock, mostly cows, sold freely. Prices for cows near calving, were from £fj to £8; backward springers, £4 to £5 10s; calves, 34s to 45s each. At Remuera, on Thursday, the few daily cattle yarded were required, and brought from £5 to £8 10s each ; strong store calves, £2 ss. Not many fat calves yarded. Fat cattle in usual number; 209 sold; were easier in price, and brought from 20s to 21s the lUOlbs. Sheep in full supply ; 1453 sold. Fat wethers were better worth than last week from 2s to .'ss each ; good longwoolled wethers brought from 16s to 20s; cross-bred wethers, 12s to 17s (id : longwoolled ewes, 10s to 15s 9d ; cross-bred ewes in lamb, 9s to 9s Gd; hoggets, 6s each. Figs fairly supplied; .14 yarded ; were freely competed for ; wellbred porkers brought from 32s to 38s; store pigs, Its to 19s; heavy pigs up to £4 each.

BINNEY AND SONS' Report. —Hides : At our weekly sale, all well-flayed sold readily at late quotations, with an upward tendency on all good lines of cow, which sol.l from 2|d to 2£d : wet, I!}A to 2d ; calf, 3d to 3d; ox, according to stoutness, from 3Ad to 5Jd (no prime to hand); steer and shecty ox, 2Jd to 3d ; badly Hayed, Id to l.kl per lb less. Sheepskins: Prices eased equal to Id per lb dry weight; local green ranged from 3s (id to 5s 3d. Tallow and bones: No change to report. Bonedust: Root manure, £6 per ton f.o.b. ; bonedust, £0 10s to £7 per ton. Hams and bacon : Equal numbers (bare), 8d ; bacon, 7}d. Per New Zealand Land Association, Limited.

Auckland, August '2, 1593. On Tuesday, Ist August, we offered an average catalogue of hides and sheep skins, which were all cleared. Messrs. Abraham and Williams held a largo sale of stock on the 2Gth July, The yards were well filled with cattle, all selling at very good rates. The sheep were mostly of medium quality, and prices accordingly

low. Fat polled Angus bullocks made £f 13s; light bullocks, £5 10s: atom bullocks, £5; store cows, 70s to 80s; store heifers, 755; dairy stock, good to £7 ; medium, £5 to £6; inferior, £4; young cattle, 45s to £52 (is; calves small, 255; fat ewes, JOs b\l; store wethers, 11 ; best lambs, 7s to 8s ; aged ewes, os to 7s.

Messrs. Wallis, Sons and Co. (A. 11. Moore, Opunake, Taranaki, New Zealand representative) butter and cheese report.— London, June 0. Cheese: The arrivals during the past few days have been very large, some 9000 crates. The best qualities sell well at 50s to 525; a few skims sell very badly, not worth 30s. Butter : So far as colonial is concerned the season has practically closed.
