THE EDUCATIONAL DEAD-LOCK AT NELSON.
[BY TEMCORAI'H. — PI'.KSH ASSOCIATION.] Nelson, Thursday. Tub educational deadlock has created a good dual of excitement. To-day the premises secured by tho Education© Board were opened by the inspector, the newlyappointed head master being the only teacher to attend. No boys attended the school. To night a monster meeting was held, at which several members of the committee spoke, and one member of the Board. A resolution was carried, on the motion of Mr. 1). Mackie, cordially approving of the action of the committee, and expressing a hope that it will continue to vindicate its rights. A second resolution, urging that the time has arrived for the abolition of the Education Board, town committee* to carry out all the duties in town and county councils in the country districts, the inspector to be under the Department, and removable at least every two years, was carried. Copies are to be sent to the members and Minister.
