WELLINGTON POULTRY SHOW.

[BY tele(;k.u>h.— press association.] WklunotoN, Thursday. The eleventh annual show of the Wellington Poultry and Pigeon Association was opened this afternoon by the Governor. The exhibits are not so numerous as last year, but the quality is quite up to the standard. Auckland, Napier, New Plymouth, Wanganui, Wairarapa, Blenheim, Nelson, Greymouth, Westport, Christchurch, Dunedin, and country exhibitors are represented. The Ballance Challenge trophy, promoted in order to perpetuate tho memory of the late Premier, who was an ardent' fancier, fell to a Wanganui breeder, Mr. J. T. Sinclair. it was allotted to the class for Langshan cockerels and pullets, and Mr. Sinclair obtained 8 points ; Mr. Ceo. Remington, Wellington, (5 points ; .Mr. <;. A. Harkne-s, of Nelson, third with 2 points.
