In regard to agricultural colleges in th States, our American journal allegos tha" they are not turning out *o successful a s could bo desired. Farmers' sons will no 6 attend them for instruction, and farmer 8 generally deride the opinions and practices of their professors. The truth seems to bo that there is too much profession and socalled science in connection with these institutions, and too little plain, practical common sense.
