DUNEDIN OATS. D.NEDIN, May 10. — Business continues fairlv active, all offered being readily placed at prices quite up to last week. Nearly all coming to hand are held on growers' account. The quantity for immediate disposal in consequence is limited, which accounts for prices in the meantime being so firmly maintained. There is a notion abroad that a very big shortage will have to be faced. The quantity sent forward by rail this season shows considerably over double the quantity that came to hand to the same dato last season. Tho future of this market seems to be somewhat of a puzzle to not a few : meantime the quotations are :—Prime milling, Is 9d to Is 9^l ; best bright stout feed, Is Ski to Is 9d; medium to good, Is "id to Is B^l ; inferior to medium, Is (3d to Is 7d (ex store sacks extra 11Ct) " JOHNSON Messrs. Freeman R. Jackson and Co.'s Johnsonvillc stock report (by telegraph) on Wednesday.—Cattle were in usual number. They were well competed for. Sheep were of indifferent sorts, none really prime coming forward. Pigs made excellent prices. Cattle: Best bullocks, £8 5s to £9 ss: lighter ones, £7 to £7 17s 6d ; cows, £4 12s 6d to £5 17s 6d ; veal calves, 21s. Ox beef, 18s to 19s per 100 lbs; cows, 15s to 16s. One superior bullock, purchased by Mr. Riddlesford, of Molesworth-street, brought £12 ss. Sheep : Wethers, 13s to 14s 6:1 ; ewes, 10s 6d to lis 4d. Pigs: Baconere, 44s to 595; porkers, 2fo fid to 27» 6d.

Wheat, 3s Id to 3s 2d ; oats, 3s to 3s 2d duty-paid; bran, 9d to lOd ; pollard, lid; flour, £8 to £8 2s 6d.
