The Queensland Separation Party are awaiting advices from the colony on the question of dividing the colony ; but it is expected that the Colonial Office will act on a promise given by Lord Knutsford, ex-Secretary for the Colonies, that the Imperial Government would take action in the event of the Separation Bill being rejected by the colonial legislature.
