The Northern S.S. Co.'s steamer Douglas arrived from Whangarei early yesterday morning. Early yesterday morning the schooner Marmion arrived from the Friendly Islands, via Niue, bringing some bales of cotton, fungus, and a quantity of sundries *rom the former place, and 10 cases of native hats from the latter. Captain Ross reports that he left Tongatabn on October 27. Experienced E.N.E. winds to the New Zealand coast sighted the Poor Knghts on the 2nd instant at 11 m., and anchored in harbour as above, having experienced fine weather throughout the trip. The schooner berthed at the Queen-street Wharf yesterday morning to discharge, on completion of which she will load up again for another trip to the Friendly Islands. „ The Union S.S. Co. s steamer Upolu left for Tonga and Samoa last evening. The Northern S.S. Company's steamers Argyle, for Kuaotunu and Mercury Bay, and Chelmsford, for Whangamata and Whakatane; both left last evening. Yesterday the barque Kathleen Hilda was cleared at the Customs for Newcastle in I ballast, to load coal for this port for Messrs. Younghusband and Co. She will sail to-day. The ketch Agnes Martin is loading at the Queen-street Wharf for Rarotonga. She was entered outwards at the Customs yesterday, and is to sail to-morrow. . The cargo steamer Rangatira is to come out of Calliope Dock this morning, and will leave for Newcastle to-morrow to load for London. Kiccol received a cable despatch from Sydney, stating s that i the barque Belle Isle, which put into Sydney in distress while on the voyage from Newcastle to this port, will have to discharge her cargo before the necessary repairs dn be completed.
