THE CHARGE AGAINST BANK DIRECTORS.

After a hearing occupying eleven days, the cases against the late directors and manager of the defunct Australian Banking Company were concluded late last night. The jury, being unable to agree, were locked up for the night. The result of the jury's deliberations is awaited with intense interest. Sydney. October 16. In the Supreme Court Arnold Mathey, John Scott, John Shirley, and John F. Martin, directors of the Australian Banking Corporation, were acquitted of the charge of conspiracy in connection with the management of the institution. In the case of Francis Abigail (managing director), Hyam Nathan (director), and Roderick McNamara (late manager), the jury disagreed, and the Crown Prosecutor intimated that a fresh trial would be necessary. There are other charges pending against Abigail, Nathan, and McNamara.
