CRIMINAL CALENDAR.
The criminal sittings of the Supremo Court will be opened by Mr. Justice Conolly on Monday, at 11 o'clock. There are ten cases set down for hearing, four of which are against aboriginal natives, and had it not been for the one very grave charge of wilful murder, preferred against Robert Butler, the calendar would have been a comparatively light one. Tho following are the cases for trial : —Korena Hare, forgery, Kawakawa; Thomas Petty, larceny as a bailee, Rotorua; Hennro f'aihau, maliciously killing cattle, Russell ; John James Walsh, larceny from tho person, Auckland ; James Watson, larceny from a dwelling, Auckland ; Frederick Williams, horsestealing, Auckland ; Waharoa (Walker), perjury, Tauranga ; Robert Butler, murder, Whangarei ; Toka Arakino, malicious injury to property, Coromandel; Ernest Lawson, breaking and entering (two charges), Auckland.
