NORTH NEW ZEALAND GRAND NATIONAL MEETING. The splendid acceptances received for the two principal events of trie above feathering, and the openness that surrounds the issue in each race, is giving rise to a good deal of speculation. Since Couranto's victory in the Wanganui Steeplechase, he has been made the medium of staunch support for the Great Northern Steeplechase, and coupled with Fabulous for the Grand National Hurdle Race, fully £500 was written. Belmont and Couranto, and Lonely and Couranto. was also extensively backed at various prices down to 25t01. ~ .... It is anticipated that Couranto will be brought in) by the steamer arriving in the Manukau on Saturday next. Mr. Peroival notifies horseowners that j general entries are due to-morrow night.
